Job Summary

Own subcontract contractual management for major subcontractors supporting the CAAS NexGen Air Traffic Management System, acting as the contractual focal point within the project team. Negotiate, administer, and manage subcontract obligations across the lifecycle while partnering with Procurement, Engineering, Project Controls, Commercial, and Legal. Drive subcontract strategy, change and claims management, risk allocation, compliance, and closeout to protect Thales’ interests and ensure subcontractor performance.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the contractual focal point for assigned subcontract packages, managing subcontract obligations through award to closeout.
•Ensure prime-contract flow-down obligations are incorporated into subcontracts and subcontract terms protect Thales’ commercial and contractual interests.
•Proactively manage subcontract deviations using change orders, notices, amendments, claims, RFIs, waivers, and related mechanisms.
•Coordinate subcontract change management and administer variations, commercial adjustments, and upstream impacts tied to customer- or subcontractor-initiated changes.
•Monitor subcontractor compliance (scope, schedule, quality, HSE, insurance, bonds, warranties, reporting) and support legal/contract teams during disputes and resolution.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Advanced academic background in Law, Contract Management, Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, or a related discipline (equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree).
•8+ years of experience in Subcontract Management, Contract Management, Procurement, Commercial Management, or Legal Counsel roles in complex international industrial environments.
•Ability to manage large, multi-stakeholder, long-cycle contracts and operate autonomously with senior internal and external stakeholders.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex contractual frameworks into actionable guidance.
•Comfortable using digital platforms and standard business tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CLM systems, and collaborative environments).
