Key Responsibilities

  • •Monitor equipment and perform routine maintenance on engine-room machinery and auxiliary systems.
  • •Clean and maintain equipment including main engine scavenge air box, lube/fuel oil purifiers and filters.
  • •Make rounds: record pressure and temperature readings and report anomalies.
  • •Participate in drills and emergencies and assist with enforcement of rules, procedures, regulations, and pollution prevention.
  • •Perform maintenance and upkeep tasks including tank soundings/topping off, deck/engine-room/living-space cleaning, lubrication/greasing, painting, and assisting with crane/rigging after training.
