Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage design packages for roads, bus infrastructure, and greenway/active travel projects from concept through construction.
  • •Apply relevant UK and/or Irish design standards to develop safe, people-focused transport solutions.
  • •Deliver high-quality client deliverables that meet quality standards and time/budget constraints.
  • •Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., drainage, structures, environmental) and guide technical challenges through statutory approval processes.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering (or similar).
  • •Demonstrated commitment and progression toward Chartership for future professional leadership.
  • •Post-graduate experience in relevant areas such as civil engineering, highways, public transport, and greenways.
  • •Knowledge and experience applying UK and Irish design standards for transport projects (e.g., DMRB, DMURS, LTN 1/20, LTN 1/24, NTA Cycle Design Manual).
  • •Knowledge of contract documentation and statutory planning/design approvals in the UK and/or Ireland (e.g., NEC/Public Works Contract; specifications to MCHW/MCRW).
