Job Summary

Maintain and repair plant equipment in an aggregate production facility, including stone crushers, screens, conveyors, and related machinery. Diagnose mechanical issues, dismantle and reassemble components, and perform routine maintenance like lubrication, oil and filter changes, and equipment cleaning. Operate heavy off-road equipment and test repaired equipment to ensure performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications, while following OSHA/MSHA safety rules.

Key Responsibilities

•Diagnose mechanical issues and repair or replace damaged and worn parts on plant equipment such as crushers, screens, and conveyors.
•Dismantle and reassemble heavy plant components using hoists and hand tools.
•Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, oil and filter changes, and equipment cleaning.
•Examine parts for wear using micrometers and gauges, and read/interpret operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
•Operate heavy equipment (e.g., haul trucks, water trucks, quarry trucks, cranes, shovels, graders) and ensure repaired equipment passes testing to meet specifications.

Key Requirements

•Valid driver’s license.
•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•Mechanically inclined; previous mining experience preferred.
•Follow OSHA/MSHA safety regulations and wear required PPE in designated areas.
•Be able to perform the physical demands of operating heavy trucks and ladders, including occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
