Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop a multi-layered recruiting organization covering 100 to 200+ Engineering and IT requisitions across India and broader Asia-Pacific.
  • •Build recruiting management capability through coaching, clear expectations, structured operating cadences, and development plans for managers and individual contributors.
  • •Own GitLab’s most senior and executive-level technical searches in the region, including Vice President and C-suite-adjacent leadership roles.
  • •Set sourcing, pipeline, and market strategies for hard-to-fill roles across AI/ML, generative AI, security, infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
  • •Define regional hiring metrics and reporting, surface hiring risks and bottlenecks, and recommend solutions to support predictable, high-quality hiring.

  • •Experience leading recruiting in high-growth technology companies, including enterprise-scale hiring environments.
  • •Experience managing recruiting managers or leading a multi-layered recruiting organization with accountability for team performance and development.
  • •Deep experience recruiting Engineering and IT talent from individual contributor roles through senior and executive leadership.
  • •A proven track record sourcing, engaging, and closing passive candidates for senior technical and leadership roles in competitive markets.
  • •Data-informed recruiting experience using hiring metrics, dashboards, market intelligence, applicant tracking systems, and sourcing tools (Greenhouse helpful).
