Job Summary

Install and terminate audio-visual systems for AVI-SPL projects, including cable pulls, rack wiring, and equipment/component setup. Lead and direct internal or subcontracted installation crews on large, complex jobs, perform system testing, and coordinate progress and required documentation with the Project Manager. Interpret schematics/blueprints, troubleshoot low-voltage and network-integrated AV systems, support engineers/programmers with minor code changes, and provide on-site client training and liaison support.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks including cable pulls/terminations, equipment and components setup, and rack fabrication/wiring based on project scope.
•Lead and mentor site technicians, verify quality of work, and coordinate with the Project Manager to support time, scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
•Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints; use hand and power tools for installation tasks including soldering/crimping connectors.
•Test point-to-point cabling and system functionality; troubleshoot complex AV and network-integrated technical issues using diagnostic tools.
•Coordinate on-site change requests, communicate daily site status, support engineers/programmers with minor programming changes, and provide client training as needed.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 6–8 years of audiovisual, electronics, or related industry installation experience.
•Advanced knowledge installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (e.g., HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic), including conduit runs and cable trays.
•Expert-level understanding of network infrastructure and how it integrates with audiovisual systems (IP-based systems, streaming, cloud-based services).
•Proven ability to lead and manage site teams on large-scale, complex projects and allocate installation resources to meet timelines.
•Valid and current AVIXA CTS-I General Certification required; valid driver’s license required.
