Job Summary

Serve as legal counsel for Netflix’s fastest-growing Korea business areas, partnering with Advertising, Consumer Products, and Marketing/Brand Partnerships teams. You will draft, review, negotiate, execute, and manage B2B commercial agreements, structure and support ad business deals, and provide clear guidance on Korean advertising regulations. You’ll also advise on Netflix IP usage for marketing activities, align work with global legal teams, and improve contracting templates and knowledge management.

Key Responsibilities

•Draft, review, negotiate, execute, and manage a wide range of B2B commercial agreements supporting growth initiatives in Korea, independently or under supervision as appropriate.
•Provide comprehensive legal support to the advertising business in Korea by structuring and negotiating agreements with advertising agencies, advertisers, measurement partners, and third-party ad-tech service providers.
•Serve as a legal partner to advertising, consumer products, and marketing/brand partnerships teams with business-oriented advice on deal structures, risk allocation, rights, sponsorship frameworks, and new ad products.
•Provide clear guidance on Korean advertising regulations, including consumer protection, fair labeling, and promotional standards, translating requirements into actionable business recommendations.
•Advise on usage rights, restrictions, and approvals related to Netflix’s IP portfolio in connection with commercial and marketing activities, and collaborate with global/regional legal teams to align local transactions with broader objectives and policies.

Key Requirements

•4+ years of relevant legal experience in-house and/or at a leading law firm, with a bar membership in good standing in at least one jurisdiction (Korea preferred).
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Korean, with the ability to translate complex legal and regulatory issues into practical business advice.
•Proven experience drafting, negotiating, and managing B2B commercial agreements in English, preferably including licensing or strategic partnership agreements.
•Strong ability to navigate local regulations and industry standards to advise on compliance in a business-enabling way.
•Working knowledge of intellectual property rights (trademarks, copyrights, and brand usage) with experience advising on approvals, usage rights, restrictions, and related commercial/marketing contexts.
