Job Summary

Supervise designated Mortgage Loan Originators while driving residential first-mortgage production. Partner with branch leadership to ensure awareness of home loan products, handle referrals, develop Realtor and builder contacts, and support sales in the field. Interview applicants, analyze financial data for creditworthiness, oversee loan production targets, and ensure documentation, underwriting, compliance (BSA/AML), and customer service standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

•Solicit residential first mortgages through contacts with Realtors, builders, and developers and develop referral contacts.
•Interview loan applicants, make credit decisions, and analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness.
•Take borrower applications, transmit daily rates/credit reports/AUS responses to the processor, and deliver complete loan packages with required documentation.
•Supervise designated mortgage originators, set and monitor production and income target goals, and keep originators informed of product/process changes and tools.
•Ensure compliance and customer service standards by completing BSA/AML and other compliance training and monitoring service levels delivered to customers.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Equivalent of a four-year college degree plus 6 years related experience and/or training, and 3 years related management experience (or equivalent combination).
•Required to have S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
•Ability to interview loan applicants and analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness.
•Ability to maintain knowledge of available loan products, processing procedures, and underwriting guidelines.
•Ability to supervise mortgage originators and carry out supervisory responsibilities (interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, directing, and performance management).
