Job Summary

Oversee technical growth for graduates and senior staff by designing, implementing, and refining development programs—especially a Senior Proficiency Framework—so Engineering, Maintenance, and Support Services can build safer, more reliable, and cost-effective asset performance. Lead framework deployment across global sites, define competency-based career pathways, track skills KPIs, partner with HR and site leaders, and drive succession planning and artisan training initiatives.

Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

•Establish and deploy a structured, adaptable Senior Proficiency Framework aligned to the Asset Management Framework, operational needs, and global consistency while incorporating site-specific requirements.
•Define competency-based career pathways for senior engineering and maintenance staff and align framework outputs with career progression and workforce planning.
•Partner with HR to maintain job grades and align development results with compensation, performance-based incentives, and succession plans for technical positions.
•Drive artisan development by aligning initiatives with the Senior Proficiency Framework and supporting industry-focused training modules.
•Track skills development KPIs, analyze outcomes, and report on program effectiveness to inform leadership and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

•Demonstrated experience (3+ years) designing, implementing, and maintaining competency-based development programs for engineering and maintenance technical disciplines across multiple sites or business units.
•4–6 years working within formal Asset Management contexts, translating framework commitments into practical development pathways and KPIs and coordinating with Group/Corporate functions.
•6–8 years in industrial or mining environments partnering with maintenance and engineering teams on lifecycle asset management, skills uplift, and performance enablement, including exposure to workshop/plant operations.
•Practical engagement with national qualifications frameworks and industry training standards, including mapping modules to standards, preparing for audits, and collaborating on curriculum/assessment integrity.
•Experience collaborating with HR on job grading, career progression mapping, compensation/incentive alignment, and succession planning; able to connect development results to performance management and workforce planning.
