Job Summary

Lead the maintenance team to improve safety, product quality, run time, and reduce machine downtime at the Asheville healthcare packaging plant. Own work order execution, emergency repairs, and contractor/vendor coordination, while troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Perform preventative maintenance, installs and upgrades, document work orders, and support continuous improvement projects. Train operators, run department meetings, and follow environmental, safety, and health standards.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Support maintenance department operations by coordinating with management and team members to improve safety, product quality, run time, and prevent machine downtime.
•Receive and perform work orders using work permits, sketches, PM schedules, blueprints, and verbal instructions; respond to emergency repair requests.
•Troubleshoot, repair, install, modify, and relocate production machinery and equipment across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
•Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance, including record/log maintenance and use of measuring and testing equipment.
•Manage contractor work by assisting with outsourced work coordination and safety review; document completed work on MP2 work orders and follow environmental/safety/health rules.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 5 years manufacturing work experience and/or 1 year as a Maintenance Technician ll.
•High proficiency in maintenance equipment functions, mechanics, and operation, with technical training equivalent to a two-year college or apprenticeship program.
•Knowledge and training in Process Control & Instrumentation and Power Distribution (480 Vac & below).
•Forklift certification or ability to obtain it.
•Ability to read/interpret blueprints, manuals, schematics, and perform required PM checklists and ISO calibration.
