Key Responsibilities

  • •Support the management of ESA EO projects by reviewing deliverables, issuing RIDs, and coordinating feedback with a focus on oceanography and glaciology.
  • •Produce technical/scientific materials (presentations, flyers, training materials) and datasets as requested by the Agency.
  • •Demonstrate and present tools or results requested by the Agency.
  • •Contribute to organizing scientific workshops, training events, webinars, and hackathons.
  • •Support testing of industry-provided toolboxes, platforms, or technical deliverables and contribute to international initiatives for the Agency.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD in a topic relevant to satellite Earth Observation, or an MSc relevant to satellite Earth Observation.
  • •At least 3 years of experience in the space observations domain.
  • •In-depth knowledge of satellite remote sensing (especially satellite altimetry), image processing/analysis, and geomatics/GIS technologies.
  • •Experience in EO data processing and applications exploiting modern technologies (cloud computing, big data, AI), plus multi-source data integration.
  • •Strong communication and documentation writing skills, with teaching and/or communication experience desired.
