Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and mentor a team of Bioinformatics Scientists, owning growth, responsibilities, and team standards.
  • •Own research strategy for new product development, from scoping through execution, aligned with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • •Lead assay bioinformatics analysis and optimization, including troubleshooting with laboratory scientists across multi-omic and sequencing workflows.
  • •Improve and prototype analysis pipelines for performance, including variant detection, QC, and modality-specific processing (e.g., methylation calling and fragment analysis).

Key Requirements

  • •Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Biostatistics, or a related field (M.S. with equivalent experience considered).
  • •7+ years in bioinformatics, including 3+ years leading scientists and working across functions.
  • •Demonstrated ownership taking scientific research into real clinical use, and experience developing or scientifically guiding diagnostic sequencing assays.
  • •Deep expertise in next-generation sequencing analysis (hybrid-capture or amplicon target enrichment), sequencing QC, secondary analysis, and variant calling.
