Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform electrical engineering work for power, oil and gas, and petrochemical projects, including drawings/BOMs and supporting reports, calculations, and studies.
  • •Act as Engineer of Record for the electrical discipline, applying expertise in one-line development, relay coordination, lighting calculations, cable sizing, short-circuit analysis, grounding, and communications.
  • •Ensure compliance with Canadian codes and classification requirements, including electrical system compliance on vessels per Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas (BV), and ABS.
  • •Supervise and coordinate engineers, designers, and drafters assigned to projects; act as Marine Lead for the electrical discipline.
  • •Perform complex grounding and lightning protection calculations, review/approve lighting calculations and panel schedules, coordinate vendors, and design/review onshore/offshore umbilical systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) plus 10 years of related experience.
  • •8 years of industry experience with an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractor.
  • •Experience on LNG, gas processing, refinery, or petrochemical projects, including on-site construction experience.
  • •Service as a Task Lead (Substitution Lead or Area Lead) on at least one mid to large-size project over $300 million.
  • •Experience with Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL), ETAP, MS Office Suite, onshore/offshore umbilical system design, CDEGS for grounding/lightning calculations, and Canadian Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registration for Canadian-based projects.
