Job Summary

Senior Pavement Engineer to join a multidisciplinary pavement engineering and construction materials team, delivering pavement design, assessment and materials work across airports, ports and highways. Lead technical tasks, review others’ work, and contribute to scope/fees while engaging with clients and site activities. Hybrid working in the UK with opportunities for chartership support and career progression.

Job Function: Solutions Engineering & Sales Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Lead technical tasks or small work packages within larger projects.
•Deliver pavement design, assessment, back analysis, and materials related work with limited supervision.
•Independently interrogate standards, specifications, and guidance, forming a technical view before seeking peer input where appropriate.
•Reviewing and checking technical work produced by Engineers and, where appropriate, other Senior Engineers.
•Provide technical input to scope definition, fee estimates, and resourcing discussions; support site based activities including leading inspections or resolving technical issues.

Key Requirements

•An engineering related degree or equivalent or demonstrable progress towards Chartership is highly valued.
•Established professional experience in a related engineering field, with demonstrated capability to operate independently at Senior Engineer level.
•Professional experience in pavement engineering and construction materials (e.g. asphalt, aggregates, concrete hydraulically bound materials, soils) across airports, ports, highways or related infrastructure - (either strong generalist capability across services or a recognised technical specialism in one area).
•Comfortable engaging in technical discussions with clients and project teams.
