Job Summary

Lead a six-month investigative mandate to map Taylor & Francis’ current data and intelligence landscape, audit existing data assets and AI/ML use, and uncover gaps against the AI platform ambition. You’ll partner across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Data to understand needs and frustrations, then synthesize findings into an evidence-based baseline report and prioritized, actionable recommendations that the future Head of Data & Intelligence can build on.

•Conduct a structured audit of all current data assets, including source, format, quality, accessibility, and usage to inform decisions.
•Map AI, machine learning, or algorithmic decision-making in operation, including informal tools.
•Assess the maturity and commercial relevance of discovered capabilities and identify gaps versus the AI platform ambition.
•Run structured stakeholder conversations across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Data to understand usage, frustrations, and needs.
•Produce an evidence-based baseline report with prioritized, actionable strategic recommendations and handover documentation.
