Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate field equipment for the grinding and classifying circuits through the flotation circuit to deliver slurry, achieving throughput and KPI targets.
  • •Perform thorough pre-start checks, equipment inspections, adjustments, cleaning, and ensure start-up/shutdown procedures are executed safely and promptly.
  • •Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards, ensure HSE compliance, report incidents promptly, and escalate unsafe conditions or required corrections.
  • •Ensure effective dust control and perform routine tasks including field check-sheets and equipment inspections in a timely and accurate manner.
  • •Diagnose plant defects, ensure they are immediately addressed, support maintenance tasks, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 years of prior experience operating a wet processing plant, particularly a grinding circuit (SAG and/or ball mill exposure).
  • •Flotation experience is highly regarded.
  • •Prior experience in plant commissioning and ramp up is desirable.
  • •Full Grade Twelve (G12) certificate and a certificate in metallurgy, chemical engineering, mineral processing, or a related field.
  • •Fluency in English and basic understanding of mechanical and instrumentation equipment, with computer proficiency (Microsoft Office).
