Job Summary

Lead facade design work within an engineering consultancy design team, mentoring and coaching junior members while coordinating closely with the ME team and GCC leadership. Own feasibility report inputs, develop design specifications, and carry out detailed designs to relevant building regulations, codes, standards, and CDM/QA processes. Manage scope, calculations, IFC deliverables, tender documentation support, and project coordination to ensure timely, cost-effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and mentor the GCC façade team in coordination with the ME team and GCC ME leadership.
•Prepare feasibility study reports and ensure design specifications meet employer requirements, format, and content.
•Carry out detailed facade design to WSP and relevant building regulations/codes of practice, including CDM, QA, technical review, and sign-off.
•Review and monitor calculation production, manage QA/technical reviews, and ensure accurate, deadline-driven project costing inputs.
•Project manage commissions and coordinate contract documents (drawings and specifications), handling day-to-day queries and reporting design-construct variances.

Key Requirements

•BEng (Hon) degree with a minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience.
•Member of a professional body associated with the discipline.
•Experience and proven ability to lead and manage an engineering team and multi-disciplinary projects.
•Experience of Microsoft Office; Revit knowledge is an added advantage.
•Comprehensive experience of technical design and associated discipline software.
