Key Responsibilities

  • •Interpret OPTN policies and bylaws to ensure operational consistency and support HRSA in reviewing proposed policy changes.
  • •Conduct discovery and analysis of membership criteria, compliance monitoring processes, and governance to improve transparency and accountability.
  • •Lead safety event analysis, including report triage and facilitating Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), and develop recommendations and best-practice guidance.
  • •Serve as the lead SME for stakeholder inquiries and facilitate workshops with OPTN volunteers and HRSA representatives.
  • •Monitor member compliance with OPTN and federal requirements, support audits with corrective action planning, and use performance/quality metrics to inform initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Public Health, or Policy with 20+ years of related experience (Master’s preferred with 15+ years).
  • •Deep expertise in OPTN policies, bylaws, and organ allocation frameworks.
  • •Extensive experience supporting federal regulatory programs, with direct HRSA experience preferred.
  • •Direct clinical or administrative experience in a Transplant Center, Organ Procurement Organization (OPO), or an Organ Center.
  • •Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and commute to Rockville, MD when needed.
