Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the Sanitation Department to wash and disinfect live haul and feed units based on biosecurity procedures and scheduled turnaround times.
  • •Perform trailer audits and tabulate results, conduct trailer sampling (preferably from audited trailers), and inspect sanitation equipment.
  • •Monitor disinfectant use and verify tank concentration, including periodic disinfectant calibration, and maintain wash logs with correct charge handling in CAM.
  • •Supervise daily department operations and budgeted costs, including selecting techniques, materials, supplies, machinery, equipment, and tools.
  • •Directly supervise sanitation employees (interviewing, hiring, training, performance review, scheduling, payroll coordination, issue handling, discipline, and participation in terminations) while maintaining OSHA, site safety, and environmental law compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate degree from an accredited college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • •Experience acting as a lead by training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff, or by managing a process or project.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • •Valid state driver's license.
  • •CDL Class A license (preferred).
