Key Responsibilities

  • •Direct all aspects of AVANGRID real-time operating platforms supporting electric and gas operations across multiple utility jurisdictions.
  • •Establish strategic direction and execute technology roadmaps for Smart Grids control systems and automation, ensuring solutions are secure and supportable.
  • •Direct development, integration, maintenance, support, and lifecycle management for electric and gas control center applications, including transmission, distribution, outage management, GIS, and other real-time applications.
  • •Lead control center platform infrastructure across architectural planning to day-to-day support, including server, storage, databases, networks, security, SCADA communications, and related services.
  • •Ensure enterprise operational governance, performance/availability/recovery outcomes, and compliance with requirements including NERC CIP and other applicable state/federal and corporate cyber/physical security policies.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of broad-based experience in technology management and/or related areas, with prior management/supervisory/leadership experience.
  • •Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in a technical field and/or MBA preferred.
  • •Working knowledge of the regulatory environment for utility companies, including NERC CIP.
  • •Strong advanced leadership and communication skills, with the ability to resolve complex problems and negotiate successful outcomes.
