Key Responsibilities

  • •Own technical design and delivery for a multi-component AI system, accountable for quality shipped in your area.
  • •Define product behavior and measurement frameworks, including evaluation systems and regression gating for non-deterministic outputs.
  • •Run continuous end-user evaluation across APIs, SDKs, data representations, and reference applications; diagnose gaps and ensure fixes land.
  • •Build and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, conflation, entity resolution, quality checks, and batch/streaming jobs keeping datasets current.
  • •Design feedback loops, instrument failures for reproducibility, develop model-tool boundaries and harnesses, and manage latency/cost targets per request; participate in on-call rotation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of software engineering experience with production ownership of services, pipelines, or SDKs.
  • •2+ years shipping LLM-backed features to real users, including systems with error budgets and on-call rotations.
  • •Direct experience designing evaluations for non-deterministic systems, including building datasets and catching real failures.
  • •Data engineering depth with SQL, at least one distributed processing framework, and experience with pipelines where correctness mattered more than speed.
  • •Fluency with tool calling and agent orchestration, including failure modes like stale context, hallucinated arguments, and silent partial success.
