Job Summary

Join the Enterprise Client Engineering team to design, build, and maintain a secure, scalable Windows ecosystem for Akamai’s global workforce. You’ll administer and optimize enterprise Windows fleet operations, including deployment workflows, drivers, upgrades, imaging, and patch management. Provide Tier 3 support via root-cause analysis and documentation, monitor system health and compliance, and automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, VBS, Batch, and Python (preferred).

Key Responsibilities

•Administer, configure, and maintain Akamai’s global Windows fleet using group policy, registry settings, Kace, and Workspace One MDM.
•Design and optimize client OS deployment workflows, managing drivers, configurations, upgrades, and supporting infrastructure.
•Implement and maintain Windows and third-party patch management strategies, including testing, staging, and rollout.
•Write, test, and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, VBS, Batch) for administrative task automation, configuration enforcement, and software deployment; Python experience preferred.
•Provide Tier 3 engineering support for complex Windows issues, performing root-cause analysis and documenting solutions while monitoring system health and compliance logs.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or a technical degree (or equivalent).
•5+ years enterprise systems engineering experience with Windows administration at scale (3,000+ endpoints).
•Expertise in enterprise endpoint and systems management (deployment, patching, inventory, reporting) and adaptability to new tools.
•Expertise in Windows imaging workflows, including WIM deployment, driver integration, post-imaging setup, and automated build procedures.
•Demonstrated expertise in PowerShell, VBS, and batch automation, with Python experience valued; understanding of Windows architecture, file systems, registry, Group Policy (GPO), Installer packaging, Active Directory, and security frameworks.
