Job Summary

Architect, design, and integrate firmware security solutions for AMD server products. Lead vulnerability assessment, draft CVEs, and determine CVSS scores. Collaborate across platform, HW, and validation teams to harden pre-boot environments (UEFI/CoreBoot) and BIOS defenses, driving continuous improvement in firmware security. Join a security-focused team to address vulnerabilities as they are detected, design robust firmware security features, and ensure secure bring-up of embedded SOCs. You will mentor developers, conduct threat modeling, and communicate with internal/external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate and address security vulnerabilities; architect, develop, and validate firmware security solutions; draft CVEs and determine CVSS scores
•Design, develop, verify, and validate firmware/BIOS, software and/or hardware across embedded platforms
•Participate in day-to-day firmware/software development and architecture discussions
•Provide consultation to internal/external customers regarding AMD features and programming requirements
•Collaborate with Platform, HW and Silicon validation teams to bring-up BIOS and firmware during Embedded SOC bring-up and verify embedded features in silicon IP

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
•7+ years BIOS/Firmware Development experience
•3+ years of experience with security threat modelling
•Experience in embedded firmware and pre-boot environments (e.g., UEFI, CoreBoot)
•Excellent communications skills: verbal, written and interpersonal.
