Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide daily site inspections of contractors’ work on highway, bridge, and related complex construction projects to ensure compliance and maintain up-to-date project records.
  • •Conduct routine field tests on construction materials (slump test, air content test, compaction tests).
  • •Measure and record material placed and pay items for periodic contractor payments.
  • •Prepare daily inspection reports/logs covering work performed, materials used, weather conditions, accidents, and equipment use.
  • •Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to the Owner and coordinate with utilities, state/local/federal agency personnel as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma.
  • •5 years of experience in Roadway and Bridge construction.
  • •Experience in field inspection, or construction supervision of civil works projects (earthwork, roads, utilities, infrastructure, bridges, paving, drainage).
  • •Knowledge of ASTM and ACI, construction testing requirements, and construction inspection procedures (including nuclear gauges and concrete sampling).
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check; fluent in written and spoken English.
