Key Responsibilities

  • •Support all phases of the renewable energy interconnection process and delivery of renewable generation onto the electrical grid.
  • •Develop detailed electrical design deliverables for medium- to extra-high-voltage substations and renewable energy facilities, including one-line diagrams, relay/control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA/communications, and equipment specifications.
  • •Perform power system studies and engineering calculations, including short-circuit, time-current coordination, relay settings, arc flash, protection scheme development, and NERC compliance support.
  • •Conduct infrastructure design studies such as grounding analysis, insulation coordination, electromagnetic field analysis, power quality studies, motor starting studies, and AC interference evaluations.
  • •Provide construction support, participate in field commissioning, perform QA/QC reviews, and collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and utility personnel.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Renewable Energy Engineering, preferably with a power systems emphasis.
  • •Experience supporting utility substation design projects.
  • •Experience with IEEE and ANSI standards.
  • •Experience working on multiple engineering projects concurrently.
