Job Summary

Build and maintain the BI data mart and analytics platform that enable leadership decision-making. Lead design and optimization of SQL Server database objects (T-SQL tables, stored procedures, views, and functions), and create scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from diverse sources. Own end-to-end data flow reliability, implement monitoring and alerts, troubleshoot pipeline failures, and partner with BI teams to ensure data quality and usability.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead creation, maintenance, and support of the SQL data mart environment, including T-SQL tables, stored procedures, views, and functions.
•Design and optimize SQL queries and ETL/ELT pipelines for performance, cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
•Build analytics-optimized data models for BI and self-service reporting, following standards and best practices.
•Troubleshoot data import and pipeline issues, including deadlocks and inefficient queries, and proactively address data quality and integrity.
•Implement monitoring/alerting and maintain documentation for data flows, schemas, and processes; collaborate with BI teams for data availability and usability.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years in a SQL Server database environment, covering database design, data loading/unloading, performance tuning, and security best practices.
•Expertise writing complex SQL queries using CTEs, subqueries, joins, and temporary tables.
•Hands-on ETL/ELT experience and tools such as Airbyte, dbt, or AWS Glue.
•Proficiency with AWS services including S3, IAM Roles/Policies, and Lambda for database and data pipeline solutions.
•Experience orchestrating data workflows with Apache Airflow and/or Stonebranch UAC, including workflow design, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
