Key Responsibilities

  • •Play a leading role in project delivery, managing client and internal stakeholder interfaces and coordinating/reviewing inputs to deliver high-quality outputs.
  • •Work with senior colleagues to develop business opportunities and prepare successful proposals.
  • •Manage or direct projects effectively, balancing programme, budget, and quality while adhering to health and safety standards.
  • •Provide leadership for the water EIA and flood risk team, supporting the growth of the office.
  • •Provide technical guidance, training, and support to junior colleagues, and help grow WSP’s technical capability through knowledge and innovation.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience managing Water EIA, Flood Risk, and Sustainable Drainage deliverables with strong technical capability in at least one area.
  • •Proven experience leading (or being a major contributor to) technical inputs and teams for successful delivery of planning and permitting work for major infrastructure projects.
  • •Track record delivering complex, high-profile water environment projects, including water EIA/FRA/WFD inputs and participation in DCO examinations or planning inquiries (experience with the DCO regime is desirable).
  • •Excellent knowledge of the regulatory context for planning and EIA in the UK.
  • •Degree in a relevant environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline and chartered status with C.WEM, CEnv, CSci or CEng.
