Key Responsibilities

  • •Work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team from conceptual design through to detail design and engineering.
  • •Provide specialised technical input for tailings management, heap leach facilities, water impoundments, waste rock dump design, soil mechanics, soil improvement methods, and geosynthetic materials engineering.
  • •Assist project managers with successful project delivery by managing your involvement, including time, budget, and quality control.
  • •Prepare technical reports, drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and cost estimates.
  • •Travel within the UK and internationally to support clients in solving engineering problems and support construction of WSP designs.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree qualified in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology, with proven ability in soil mechanics.
  • •Knowledge of national and international design guidelines and regulations.
  • •Mining and geotechnical experience related to mine waste disposal and facilities.
  • •Ability to interpret and monitor results and use tools to monitor and design geotechnical structures and support clients’ operational requirements.
  • •Theoretical and practical experience of project management and consultancy, including supporting client relationships and project teams.
