Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive IP and patent strategy parallel to product development, with a focus on AI architectures and data-driven innovations.
  • •Engage enterprise teams to implement IP counseling, mine for critical IP, set portfolio strategies, and lead invention harvesting.
  • •Manage multiple outside counsel teams and AI-centric workflows to generate and maintain high-quality IP assets.
  • •Provide independent client counseling and practical legal advice across patent and IP issues, including trade secrets, copyright, litigation-related advising, partnerships, open source, licensing, and acquisitions.
  • •Present complex legal concepts clearly to inventors, colleagues, and business leaders and provide education/training to technical teams.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 200,700 - 229,100 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor from an accredited Law School.
  • •Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
  • •Registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • •At least 4 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications and counseling to drive strategic harvesting and portfolio development.
  • •Experience drafting/prosecuting and counseling on complex software or AI/machine learning-centric applications and IP issues (e.g., trade secrets, copyright).
