Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide analytic and technical support for implementing Unitaid’s strategy, particularly for medicines, diagnostics, and preventive health products in HIV and related areas.
  • •Identify and validate new topics/approaches to support access to health products in low- and middle-income countries.
  • •Manage proposal selection activities, including designing/drafting calls for proposals, leading cross-functional assessments, and revising proposal tools for effective review and submission.
  • •Design and manage analyses to inform opportunities, proposal review/selection, and strategic project design and implementation.
  • •Support cross-functional project teams during grant development, including strategic collaboration on theory of change, impact/value-for-money work, and strategic sourcing/supply information to inform portfolio-level strategy.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced university degree in international development, health economics, public health/infectious disease, pharmacy, health policy, or innovation.
  • •At least 7 years of experience in health strategies focused on healthcare tools (therapeutics, diagnostics, preventive tools).
  • •At least 3 years analyzing health products for HIV and related coinfections in resource-limited settings, including market/competitive intelligence and forecasting or market models.
  • •Demonstrated experience designing and applying market-based interventions for health products (diagnostics, medicines, preventive tools) for HIV and related areas in low- or lower-middle-income countries.
  • •Demonstrated international experience with established networks of global health partners in HIV and related areas; desirable experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/diagnostics market access, regulatory/medical affairs, and intellectual property.
