Job Summary

Drive strategic product sourcing and supply network development while managing cost across the hardware lifecycle. Partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, manufacturing) to select suppliers, shape requirements, and develop joint designs. Build and consolidate manufacturing BOMs, manage CAPEX through NPI, assess BOM risks with alternate sourcing, and lead cost engineering to maximize total cost of ownership.

•Conduct supplier selection for specific products using an approved supplier list.
•Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development (concept scoping, trade tables, should-cost/clean-sheet models, joint design via statements of work).
•Develop and consolidate a manufacturing BOM with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production internally and with suppliers.
•Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and conduct value-stream mapping to improve lead time and supply network flexibility.
•Lead cost engineering activities, including BOM risk assessment, component qualification, complexity reduction, and managing cost issues (tariffs/import-export costs and cost inflation).

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 113,000 - 159,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
•5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
•Domain expertise in value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
•Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
•Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret Clearance.
