Job Summary

Serve as a key member of the USA Payroll team, processing multi-state payrolls for 21,000+ employees (USA and Canada), reviewing hours, deductions, and garnishments; resolving inquiries with a collaborative HR/Finance group; providing Workday Payroll support and maintaining payroll procedures in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Job Function: Banking, Lending & Credit

Key Responsibilities

•Process USA bi-weekly and/or semi-monthly payrolls and Canada bi-weekly payrolls from start to finish, including hours, overtime, retro pay, deductions, bonuses, leave payments, garnishments
•Investigate and resolve payroll inquiries/discrepancies via case tracking system and timely communications
•Evaluate, calculate and process off-cycle payments as needed and submit for approval
•Partner with HR and other functions to ensure timely and accurate payroll transactions
•Provide Workday Payroll support and manage internal customer requests related to payroll
•Validate new hire/rehire setup and taxation activities and multi-state tax allocations
•Maintain and update payroll procedures and documentation
•Adapt to changes in processes and may modify responsibilities as necessary

Key Requirements

•4-year college degree in relevant discipline (accounting, finance, business administration, etc.)
•3-5 years of an equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience
•3+ years of high volume full-cycle in-house multi-state payroll processing experience
•Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations as well as wage laws for the USA
•Strong proficiency of Microsoft Excel required (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc)
