Job Summary

Support the safe and efficient operation of Copper Mountain Mine by providing engineering support, technical analysis, and mine planning under the guidance of senior and professional engineers. Rotate through disciplines such as drill & blast, short/long range planning, geotechnical engineering, dispatch engineering, production engineering, and mine survey. Work with Operations, Geology, Survey, and other technical teams while developing toward P.Eng. designation.

Key Responsibilities

•Support engineering work and mine plans to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements under supervision.
•Provide engineering support through mine design, planning, analysis, and field engagement.
•Assist with the development and maintenance of mine designs, schedules, forecasts, and supporting technical documentation.
•Collaborate with technical and operational teams to support planning, decision-making, and business objectives.
•Actively participate in training, mentoring, and professional development toward P.Eng. designation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 87,930 - 97,700 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering.
•Registered, or eligible for registration, as an Engineer in Training (EIT) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC).
•0–3 years of progressive experience in mining operations, engineering, or relevant co-op/internship roles.
•Foundational understanding of open pit mining methods, mine planning principles, and production processes.
•Willingness to learn across multiple mine engineering disciplines and possess a valid Class 5 British Columbia driver’s license with access to personal transportation.
