Key Responsibilities

•Support day-to-day patent prosecution and invention harvesting by identifying patentable ideas, evaluating inventions, and preparing/reviewing disclosures.
•Help manage global IP portfolios, including trademark monitoring/clearance, copyright registrations, and tracking filing, prosecution, and renewal deadlines across jurisdictions.
•Assist with brand protection and enforcement, including domain name disputes and social media takedowns, and coordinating pre-litigation disputes.
•Provide product counsel for governance and launch readiness across AI governance, open-source licensing and dependency management, trademark/brand protection, and data usage risks.
•Review and draft commercial contract clauses related to AI, IP, product, dependencies, and open-source software (including data rights and warranties), and support legal research/diligence and trade compliance backup.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 106,800 - 168,900 annually

Key Requirements

•2–5+ years of experience in patent prosecution and/or litigation, or intellectual property or product law, ideally with exposure to software (SaaS, enterprise data platforms, or open-source products).
•A bachelor’s or advanced degree in a science or engineering field; software engineering experience/academic background is a strong plus.
•Admission to the US or Canadian Patent Bar (registration number required); a JD (US) or LLB (Canada) preferred, but patent agents are eligible.
•Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, or managing patent applications, translating technical concepts into clear patent claims and legal analysis.
•Demonstrated interest in Generative Artificial Intelligence and the legal frameworks governing code and data, with excellent communication skills.
