Key Responsibilities

  • •Support a wide range of testing and commissioning activities using client, industry, and manufacturer standards.
  • •Perform hands-on protective relay testing for high-voltage substations using relay test sets and protective scheme testing.
  • •Document site activities using field forms, digital data tools, and mobile applications, including logs, photo documentation, and label entries.
  • •Provide day-to-day support to field teams, resolve on-site challenges, and escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate lead.
  • •Participate in safety briefings, ensure health and safety compliance, and mentor less experienced technicians; handle clerical tasks like timecards and expense/project reports as needed.
Travel: Extensive travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 50 - 70 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Minimum of 7 years of experience in the electrical testing industry, including medium/high voltage circuit breakers, power transformers, instrument transformers, and substation protection and controls testing.
  • •Demonstrated expertise on transmission, generation, and distribution relays and protective schemes, including relay calibration and testing of CT/PT circuits.
  • •Experience applying electrical testing standards and practices (NETA, IEEE, NFPA).
  • •Ability to use technical software for testing and data review (e.g., ProTesT, Protection Suite, ENOSERV RTS, Omicron Test Universe, AcSELerator Quickset) and read electrical drawings.
