Job Summary

Support project(s) teams with financial oversight as Finance’s partner within the PMO. Own cost control, budgeting and contract change development, including Estimates at Completion using Primavera, and drive monthly re-forecasting for sales, margins, cost variance and cash-in. Produce project dashboard reporting and external weekly/monthly forecasts, monitor project cash flow with the Treasurer, and assist with pricing and timely project billing in a hybrid Ottawa role.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide financial support to project teams and represent Finance within the PMO to support economical, finance and administrative tasks.
•Perform cost control, billing, and project financial management, including developing project budgets and contract changes.
•Maintain financial budget and Estimate At Completion in Primavera; validate with PMO, Project Management Office, and Finance Manager to resolve inconsistencies and updates.
•Run monthly re-forecasting of sales, gross margin, cost variance, adjusted gross margin and cash-in, ensuring inputs are ready for monthly Company Operational Budget Review (OBR).
•Produce monthly dashboard and forecasts data packages, validate actuals and commitments, monitor project cash flow with the Treasurer, and support timesheet administration and billing.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Arts (major in accounting), and/or similar education with equivalent experience.
•1–3 years of experience in large multi-national or national organizations, preferably in the Defense & Security sector, or prior project cost controlling experience.
•Experience working on projects with knowledge of basic project management and the project lifecycle.
•Knowledge and previous experience with business systems and tools including SAP, Primavera, and Excel.
