Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead OOB management architecture and feature definition for AMD Instinct GPU accelerators and server platforms, covering health monitoring, power/thermal management, firmware lifecycle, inventory, and error handling for rack-scale integration.
  • •Define standards-based manageability interface strategy using DMTF Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, balancing standards compliance with AMD-specific and OEM extension needs.
  • •Collaborate with BMC and embedded firmware teams on Redfish schemas, sensor/inventory representations, eventing, firmware update flows, and debug workflows for GPU/server components.
  • •Contribute to firmware management architecture for in-band and out-of-band update flows, including versioning, dependency management, activation, and recovery mechanisms.
  • •Engage customers, partners, and ODM/OEMs to gather datacenter integration requirements and translate them into concrete feature/interface requirements; guide partner implementation and alignment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 142,800 - 244,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Expert-level experience in platform management architecture and server manageability for datacenter, cloud, AI, or HPC environments.
  • •Proven understanding of the full OOB management stack from DCIM/orchestration frameworks through BMC firmware and device-level management protocols.
  • •Deep knowledge of DMTF Redfish (schema design, OEM extension strategy, eventing, update service) and strong understanding of PLDM and MCTP for monitoring, control, and firmware update workflows.
  • •Hands-on experience with OpenBMC architecture and services is strongly preferred.
  • •Ability to produce architecture specifications, product requirements, conformance plans, and validation strategies that drive execution across internal and external partners.
