Job Summary

Environmental Specialist, join our Health, Safety, and Environment team to lead multi-media compliance programs across waste management, SPCC/AST, stormwater, and reporting. You’ll work with field operations and senior staff to ensure regulatory obligations are identified, tracked, and met, supporting Crusoe’s data center development and mission to scale sustainable AI infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Support day-to-day waste management programs including waste characterizations, vendor coordination, manifests, and regulatory recordkeeping.
•Maintain SPCC plans for sites with aboveground storage tanks (ASTs) and coordinate inspections and PE certification processes.
•Assist with stormwater management under NPDES guidelines, develop and track SWPPPs, and review BMP effectiveness.
•Manage centralized compliance calendars and regulatory reporting to agencies with guidance from senior staff.
•Collaborate with Field Operations and HSE teammates to train site staff on multi-media compliance and participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 70,000 - 90,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field is required.
•1–5 years of relevant environmental compliance experience.
•Direct experience managing or supporting SPCC, stormwater permitting (SWPPP/NPDES), hazardous/non-hazardous waste management, AST compliance, or emergency response.
•Foundational to solid working knowledge of major federal environmental regulations (Clean Water Act, RCRA, and 40 CFR Part 112).
•Clear verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage field operations personnel and build cross-functional relationships.
