Key Responsibilities

  • •Respond to email and telephone inquiries from shipping lines, customs brokers, trucking companies, and internal stakeholders, and act as the liaison between customers and the operations team.
  • •Resolve gate-related issues, adjust gate appointments to optimize the gate, and prepare and balance import/export vessels while monitoring information for errors and confirming data accuracy.
  • •Monitor changes within the operations department and effectively communicate updates to external/internal stakeholders, including foremen, checkers, shift-managers, and management.
  • •Prepare documentation for hazardous and special handling cargo and prepare/submit billing events.
  • •Coordinate damages with customers, shift-managers, and the claims department and coordinate with government agencies on holds and inspections, while supporting the port community through the customer service portal.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of customer service experience, with experience in operations or logistics preferred.
  • •A university degree or college diploma in a related field (business administration, commerce, logistics/transportation) or equivalent operations training and experience.
  • •Exceptional customer-centric attitude and proactive judgment within defined practices and policies.
  • •Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and efficient, accurate workflow.
  • •Skilled with MS Office and strong computer skills; fluent in English with shift flexibility for a 24/7 operation.
