Key Responsibilities

  • •Define and evolve Rho’s ML/DS practices for evaluating, deploying, monitoring, versioning, and retraining models.
  • •Design and implement evaluation frameworks and eval harnesses to assess model quality before and after launch.
  • •Build and own high-impact models and analyses powering transaction coding suggestions, OCR/document understanding, and RAG/agentic systems.
  • •Make and document ML infrastructure decisions, partnering with data engineering on model registries, feature stores, serving patterns, and monitoring/alerting for drift and degradation.
  • •Translate ambiguous business problems into well-scoped modeling questions and validate impact using A/B tests and causal inference.

Key Requirements

  • •6+ years of experience in data science, applied ML, or a related quantitative field, with a track record of shipping models into production.
  • •Deep, hands-on understanding of ML infrastructure including model registries, feature stores, serving architectures, monitoring/observability, and retraining pipelines.
  • •Experience designing evaluation frameworks and evals for ML systems, covering both offline metrics and ongoing production evaluation.
  • •Comfort operating as a hybrid DS/infrastructure practitioner with end-to-end ownership when needed.
  • •Strong programming skills in Python with solid SQL.
