Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the electrical and software design of RF and wave-physics systems for tunnel boring machines, including radar, sonar, seismic, magnetic, and other imaging/detection systems
  • •Perform first-principles analysis and physics simulations to guide component selection and system feasibility
  • •Develop and execute lab and field test campaigns to de-risk and qualify designs for production
  • •Drive rapid iteration and deployment in a vertically integrated team, turning concepts into operational hardware-software solutions
  • •Collaborate with manufacturing, mechanical, controls, and field teams to design RF systems that can be built, operated, and troubleshot

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • •Experience designing RF systems, preferably for radar/tracking or underground applications in the VLF/ULF domain
  • •Strong understanding of antenna design, amplifiers, SNR budget, timing and synchronization, attenuation, and RF localization/navigation GNSS concepts
  • •Experience with hardware-software integration in autonomous systems, robotics, or other sensor-driven vehicles
  • •Prior experience operating in rugged environments or in construction/industrial settings
