Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate hospital services during shifts and act as focal point for nursing-related healthcare issues.
  • •Support nursing senior leadership with clinical and administrative reporting, and participate in budget preparation and control.
  • •Manage clinical practice by facilitating effective patient flow, monitoring staff skill mix and utilization, and ensuring bed allocation aligns with patient needs.
  • •Lead performance improvement, audits, incident coordination after business hours, infection/cross-infection minimization, and compliance with patient safety goals.
  • •Provide leadership in committees and interdisciplinary planning, support evidence-based practice, and facilitate staff education and professional development.

Key Requirements

  • •NLT 6 years clinical experience in an appropriate and relevant healthcare setting post qualification.
  • •NLT 2 years in a Senior Charge Nurse (S.C.N.) position, OR NLT 3 years in a Charge Nurse position.
  • •Ability to coordinate clinical and operational activities to ensure optimum clinical care, patient safety, and service delivery.
  • •Experience supporting evidence-based practice, quality initiatives, and performance improvement activities.
  • •Ability to manage risk assessments, audits, and corrective action documentation for patient outcomes.
