Key Responsibilities

  • •Process material in the sonic tank and through immersion/contact techniques to perform contact sonic.
  • •Assist in set-up and operating equipment while following prescribed safety regulations.
  • •Maintain accurate, complete, and legible logs, records, and charts.
  • •Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and cranes.
  • •Progress through Level I/II training and examinations, including immersion and contact testing techniques.

Key Requirements

  • •Complete 3 months (or 400 hours) of training, including 40 hours of classroom training and hands-on instruction.
  • •Demonstrate basic math skills and ability to read/understand technical and mill instructions.
  • •Pass an in-depth vision screening and the Sonic Assessment.
  • •Ability to read tape measure and micrometer, and to use common hand tools.
  • •Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in hot conditions.
