Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical sales lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, and delivery of product demonstrations.
  • •Serve as the go-to expert for customers, internal teams, and partners on API security strategies.
  • •Present Akamai’s API security vision and best practices at conferences, webinars, and customer workshops.
  • •Gather customer requirements and work with product and engineering teams to align solutions to customer needs.
  • •Partner with sales, product management, and engineering teams to drive alignment and continuously improve the customer experience.

Key Requirements

  • •12 years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or a related cybersecurity/API role.
  • •Excellent knowledge of APIs, API gateways, web application firewalls (WAF), and API security practices.
  • •Proficiency with internet technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, and RESTful APIs.
  • •Hands-on scripting experience with Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
  • •Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), and experience deploying/managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications.
