Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage the production operation of multiple departments across multiple shifts to achieve cost, profit, and production goals.
  • •Direct a group of employees, motivate for maximum productivity, and provide coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations.
  • •Identify, research, and resolve production problems and opportunities, including leading continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
  • •Manage department inventory and profitability, and prepare reports while maintaining required records.
  • •Ensure compliance with UFP policies, applicable law, and safety standards; participate in the Safety Committee and handle treating department hazardous material procedures; may assist by driving a forklift.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience.
  • •1 to 3 years of experience managing people.
  • •Post high school education is required.
  • •Knowledge of continuous improvement (CI) principles including 5S and TPM, plus training on conducting machine audits and LOTO.
  • •Proficiency in Inside UFPI and the Precise Plant Quality Program, including quality troubleshooting.
