Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead environmental management work and deliverables across the full project life cycle, including study administration and environmental work plans and schedules.
  • •Develop and execute engagement and consultation programs, including project notices and Public Information Centres, with Indigenous communities, agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • •Coordinate environmental specialists and collaborate with technical teams to complete assignments and assessments of environmental features, constraints, alternatives, effects, mitigation, and avoidance opportunities.
  • •Provide advice on environmental aspects, applicable legislation and guidelines, and policies; research, conceptualize, plan, and write related reports/documentation for planning, design, and permitting.
  • •Conduct site visits, coordinate and document project meetings, manage project objectives/scope/costs, track progress, handle scope/schedule/cost changes, and maintain project documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management/Planning, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Urban and Regional Planning or related field, plus 6 years of related experience.
  • •Experience with Ontario Energy Board, Class EA for Minor Transmission Facilities, Impact Assessment Act, Ontario EA Act, Municipal Class EAs, and related legislation.
  • •Proven success communicating and engaging design managers, discipline leads, and contractors, and negotiating with regulatory agencies to secure approvals.
  • •Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and liaison across project participants.
  • •Class G driver’s license.
