Job Summary

Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable data pipelines and AI/ML services in mission-critical environments. Works with product managers, developers, and platform engineers to translate raw data into actionable insights, deploy containerized data science capabilities, and ensure reproducibility, security, and CI/CD alignment across DoD-related data platforms.

Job Function: Software Engineering

Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and maintain reusable data ingestion, transformation, and feature engineering services for AI/ML workflows
•Collaborate with product managers, full-stack developers, and platform engineers to deploy data pipelines and machine learning services in containerized environments
•Ensure CI/CD, version control, testing standards, and security requirements are met in DoD enterprise architectures
•Develop and deploy ML models for decision support, automation, anomaly detection, and pattern recognition; package inference services with documented APIs
•Perform exploratory data analysis, create visualizations, and communicate insights to stakeholders to support mission-focused decision-making

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree required; 3+ years of specialized experience OR Associate's degree with 7+ years OR major certification with 7+ years OR 11+ years of experience
•Proficient in Python and SQL; experience with distributed data frameworks (e.g., Spark, Databricks, PySpark)
•Experience developing ML models from training to deployment using industry-standard tools (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, XGBoost, MLflow)
•Familiarity with MLOps, API development, and secure cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Palantir Foundry)
•Strong data validation, model testing, and performance evaluation techniques
