Key Requirements

  • •5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong technical judgment and a track record of owning systems over time.
  • •Experience building anti-abuse/security capabilities, including familiarity with security threats and intelligence/threat feeds.
  • •Solid understanding of computer networking and web protocols (subnetting, DNS, HTTP/S) and how production systems behave.
  • •Experience with security tools/technologies such as WAF rules (e.g., Cloudflare) and anti-abuse systems like RECAPTCHA.
  • •Backend and testing experience including Ruby on Rails (or similar MVC frameworks) and modern test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Jest, Selenium, Rspec).
