Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform dam and levee engineering analyses, including safety inspections, hydraulic infrastructure evaluations, and regulated impoundment compliance assessments.
  • •Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for dam safety, including dam-breach analyses, spillway capacity evaluations, and downstream consequence assessments.
  • •Support dam rehabilitation and modification projects with geotechnical and structural teams, including spillway improvements and seepage mitigation.
  • •Prepare and support Emergency Action Plans (EAPs), inundation mapping, instrumentation evaluation, and dam surveillance planning.
  • •Serve as Project Manager, Deputy Project Manager, or Technical Lead; coordinate multidisciplinary teams; and review/oversee deliverables from junior staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (or closely related).
  • •Demonstrated experience in dam, hydraulic infrastructure, water resources engineering, or flood risk management.
  • •Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), with ability to obtain additional state licensures as needed.
  • •Strong knowledge of dam safety and hydraulic infrastructure engineering (flood hydrology, spillway hydraulics, dam breach analysis, risk and watershed-scale modeling).
  • •Proficiency with hydrologic/hydraulic tools such as HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS, plus capability to perform and review technical calculations, modeling, and reports.
