Key Responsibilities

  • •Troubleshoot and repair equipment including air ride suspension and brake systems, lighting, wiring, gas-powered pony motors and generators, and fluid hydraulic systems on shipping fixtures.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance across mechanical, control, hydraulic, fluid, and electrical systems.
  • •Troubleshoot mechanical/control/hydraulic/fluid/electrical systems down to the component level.
  • •Adhere to CHP Biennial Inspection of Terminals (BIT) and DOT regulations, including CHP/DOT-required 90-day and annual inspections.
  • •Document maintenance work by creating and updating maintenance tickets and work orders.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing electrical, mechanical, fluid, and/or control systems.
  • •Experience troubleshooting mechanical, control, hydraulic, fluid, and electrical systems down to the component level.
  • •Ability to pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg.
  • •Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 25 lbs. unassisted and work in tight spaces.
